OB crewing for live broadcast

OB crewing is where margins are thinnest and experience shows fastest. A truck day with twelve cameras and a full complement of RF has no room for someone learning your comms protocol on the job. We supply operators, assistants, and support roles sized to the production — from a single fill-in cam op on a busy weekend to a block of crew across a tournament week.

Our crew come from sport, events, theatre, and music backgrounds. Engineering support covers the roles that keep signal path, comms, and power behaving — cable management on the floor, RF coordination with the truck, backup plans when a receiver misbehaves, and the quiet problem-solving that prevents a small fault becoming a visible one. We supply support crew who understand safe working practice on location: PPE where required, rigging discipline, and respect for venue and broadcaster safety rules.

Disciplined prep, clear handover runs through every booking. Crew arrive in time to prep properly, not scrape in at TX-5. Handover at the end of the shift is documented where it needs to be — kit returned, batteries logged, issues flagged — so the next team is not inheriting a mystery. That sounds basic; on busy OB schedules it is surprisingly rare.
