Interactive fan games on the jumbotron — big screen infotainment built for live arena audiences at one of handball's flagship international tournaments.
At the Asian Handball Championships 2026, Vernum Broadcast designed and deployed a suite of interactive fan games for the in-venue big screen — turning downtime between matches into branded, audience-facing entertainment that works at stadium scale. This is sports infotainment in practice: not just replays and bumps, but playable moments the crowd can engage with while the show keeps moving.
Each game was built as a web-native activation — lightweight, fullscreen-ready, and designed to run cleanly through the venue's media server pipeline onto the LED canvas. We scoped the games around real stadium rhythms: pre-match windows, interval breaks, and between-match hold points where the TD needs something sharp on screen without derailing the run order.
On site, the workflow was straightforward: trigger the game from the show stack, let the audience play via on-screen prompts or venue-side interaction, then cut back to sport or sponsor content on cue. Games were sponsor-ready where required — branded frames, visit messaging, and visual treatments that read at jumbotron distance rather than on a phone six inches from your face.
Four games formed the core activation package for the championships. Each is live as a standalone build — click through to see the format we deployed:

What they see on the big screen is often the primary show for everyone in the building. Infotainment work sits between showmanship and engineering: replays, bumps, sponsor rotations, and activations that have to land on time in front of a live crowd.
